Client agreement form:

Will my cat be mixed with other cats during free roam time?

- No, all free roam time is divided equally between all cats that are eligible for free roam time. However only one family is allowed out at a time, then we sanitize everything between cats. If your cat is especially shy or stresses easily free roam time is not something we recommend for them and we choose to do more ''in suite'' games, snuggles and pets. If your cat is one that feels threatened at the site of other cats this is also another type of cat that may not enjoy this time, but we are willing to try. Not all cats enjoy this time so if you do have questions or concerns ask us and we can further discuss this. *Please note we do have additional requirements for free roam eligible guests.

Is my cat eligible for free roam time?

Free roam eligibility:

- Suitable temperament: must not show aggression to staff and be able to be handled.

-Owner must also provide a fecal within the last 3 months (90 days) cats that are indoor/outdoor must have a fecal done within the last month prior to boarding (30 days).

-A FeLV (Feline Leukemia) vaccination OR negative test within the last year.

*If you don't have these two additional items your cat can still come they just will be housed in the suite and given snuggle time within the suite only and not able to access shared common grounds.

What do I need to bring with my cat?

- SCENTED OBJECT:

We ask that you provide at least one scented object if possible. This is anything that is not highly valuable (in case of destruction) but still carries a familiar scent for your kitty. An old recently worn T-Shirt from whoever their primary caregiver is, maybe a favored blanket they snuggle with, or even something as simple as a towel that has been on their bedding for 3+ days.

- FOOD:

Please bring your cats food to avoid upset tummy with any food transitions. Please pack enough for your stay plus at least 2 days additional food in case of spillage or emergency extended stays. *We will also go out and purchase if necessary but that cost is forwarded to your final bill plus a $5 shopping fee.

- LITTER:

We only need you to bring this if your cat is extremely picky on litter and will not use one of our house provided litters. [click here to see out litter selection]. Please consider the current type of litter you use at home when making this decision. Please provide enough for your entire stay. *If you provide a specific litter and we don't have sufficient amounts for your entire stay we will also go out and purchase if necessary but that cost is forwarded to your final bill plus a $5 shopping fee.

*additional note if your cat uses Tidy Cats Breeze pellets we ask that your provide this since the ''wood pellets'' we use here are NOT a suitable substitute unless your cat has used these before with no issues. They operate very differently and some cats have an issue with this transition.

Documents:

- If you have not pre-loaded your vaccination records then please bring your records for Feline Distemper and Rabies.

-Free roam eligible guests must also provide either a negative test OR the vaccination for Feline Leukemia (FeLV) within one year and a negative fecal within the last 3 months (indoor only), 1 month (outdoor/indoor cats).

Do you have any types of cats that are NOT allowed to be boarded?

Boarding Restrictions:

Not every kitty is suitable for boarding here at Suite Whiskers. Please call if you are not sure if your cat is eligible for boarding with us.

  • Pregnant, nursing, or females in heat

    • For the safety of your cat, please consider boarding with your veterinarian. Females in heat can have many of boarding clients (both male and female) in quite agitated due to their keen sense of smell and ability to detect a female in heat from large distances away.

  • Intact males (please contact us on this one as this is not an all inclusive statement and we do still board some males pending on temperament and other guests at the time of boarding)

  • Medically fragile

    • Pleas note that a cat that has recently had a major surgery or invasive procedure is not welcome to stay until your vet gives written permission directly to our facility. Generally 10-14 days post procedure (pending on procedure) we allow cats to join in on the fun again!

    • If your feline requires frequent and/or ongoing medical care we ask that you please consider boarding with your vet, as they know your cats health history and will be able to better assess their medical needs than we can. We are loving and caring, but we are not vets. Please keep this in mind.

    • Diabetic cats are required to have a 4 day trial stay. This trial must occur at least 1 week prior to an actual booked stay. You must remain local

  • Older cats

    • There is no age restriction for cats boarded here, however we do ask that you strongly consider the needs regarding mobility and temperament of your older feline and our suite designs. If you feel your feline can easily access litter boxes/food and water dishes they are welcome to stay. We do have an additional waiver for cats over 14 years of age. Please note our vaccination policies still apply to older cats. â€‹

  • Feral & highly aggressive cats

    • We aren't talking a feline who is just a bit temperamental or crabby ' here, ones that are truly wild and or aggressive beyond the point of safe handling.

    • If you feel your kitty might fall into the aggressive scale we would much rather you be honest with us and we do a brief meet and greet to see if our staff can accomidate your boarding needs. This may mean limited interaction with staff, but still safely kept within the suites. (free roam and outside suite time might be limited or restricted with cats of this temperament).

  • Any cat exhibiting signs of contagious disease/illness.

    • No cats who have recently been diagnosed with a contagious disease within the last 6 months (this includes panleukopenia). And no cats with an upper respiratory infection within the last 2 weeks.

What education and or certifications does this groomer have? or are pursing currently?
While grooming isn't necessarily a regulated field requiring a degree to get into... it is a field that allows you to see a wide variety of talents and skills. Since there are no licensing requirements it is imperative that owners take it in their own hands to research who they are trusting their kitty with!
